What is EFT?
EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) also known as 'Emotional Acupuncture' and 'Energy Psychology,' is a mind/body technique and is a gentle way to release an emotional charge attached to a thought or a memory that is blocked within your energy system.
The technique is based on the important discovery that a thought or memory (both energetic information) from trauma or stress can cause disruption and blockages in the electromagnetic energy system of the body which can manifest into physical, emotional and mental symptoms and present as behaviours (often seen as over the top or out of context) and experienced as physical disease.
The Discovery Statement:
'The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system.'
EFT is known as 'Emotional Acupuncture' because it combines gentle tapping on key acupuncture points whilst tuning into issues which could be emotional pain, unhappy memories, physical pain or fearful events from the past, present or future. When done correctly, EFT releases the emotional triggers that contributed to the problem.
